The Best Express Jeans & How They Fit
Updated: Mar 14
Here is my top 10 list of favorite Express Denim, in order, regardless of venue, event or anything other than straight up comfort, style! For visual reference, I am 5’2 and a size 6 [28″ waist]. You can shop the post by clicking on the title of each one. Full disclosure, some of these styles have sold out, but I have tried enough to know, that the similar ones I’ve linked in replace of them, would still fit the profile of that style!
Returns are super easy too; you can send back in the mail or return to store!
These are so soft and comfortable with a relaxed fit. They’re easily dressed up or down and I love the subtle distressing. They run true to size and this is the regular length. I linked a similar pair here, because these are running out. If you’re a size 8, you should snag these because they’re $20!
These are also regular length and true to size. I like the heathered look of the wash and the raw step hem is a nice added feature, standing them out from normal skinny jeans. These are super stretch and not restricting at all. Down to 0 and 00 for now, so here is a similar pair.
This wash and style is great for a completely casual look; running errands, knocking around the house or yard. I am wearing the regular length. I had to link a similar pair because these sold out.
These jeans. I can’t say enough great things. They can easily transition from brunch to date night and are so unique with the distressed hem. I love how they hold you in, in the mid section and they are the best gray wash. These are true to size and regular length. Linked similar here!
These are on repeat in my wardrobe. I wear these to school and on a night out. The high waist and shape is so flattering and this is the regular length. They’re true to size and extremely comfortable, while holding it all in! One of the best features, is they don’t really fade with all the washing and drying!
These were my first pair of Express jeans and I was sold! These are true to size and regular length. They are definitely more stiff than the ones above but they’re not uncomfortable because the “mom” look provides structure with some room to breathe. I love the wash and they are a clean hem. I had to link a similar pair because these sold out, but the only real difference is the button fly [which I like more] and no distressing.
I got these jeans to also wear to work. They’re so clean and smooth. True to size and regular length. I love the style and slightest flare at the bottom. They’re flattering and comfortable at the waist too and he color is just perfect! I loved these so much, I got them in off white too. They’re linked here.
I’m wearing 2 different styles of the cropped flare in the photos above, that’s how good they are. Left/Right is linked here. They’re so versatile, super flexible and comfy. I am true to size in all of them, in the regular length as well. The light wash has a stepped hem and they’re all raw.
Ok, I left the best 2 for last…THE PULL ON. You’d never know these jeans are elastic waist, pull ons. They are such a soft and flexible material and can be dressed up easily. I am a true medium in these but I do wish I got the regular length. These look a little too cropped for me in the skinny style, but they’re still a favorite go to.
Here are the skinny pull ons in regular length and they’re so much better! You can catch a glimpse of the waist in the far right photo and you can see how stretchy and flexible they are to curl up criss cross applesauce to casually pose on a porch bench! I have them styled super casual here, but you can see in #9 how easy they are to dress up!
With the exception of one pair of jeans that I kept from Wantable, I only have Express jeans in my closet. I have about 30 pair but figured I would try and narrow down my faves for now. I have white distressed skinny jeans and a ton of other colored denim, perfect for work! I get true to size in pretty much all of them and the regular length. If you read the sizing details, Express is so clear about inseam length, which is super helpful. I took a measuring tape to mine and now know exactly when to order short or not order the pants at all, if they’re too long and short is not offered. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction if you’ve been wanting to take the leap into the world of Express Denim and feel free to comment with any questions you may have!
